El Pollo Pio Pio: Experience Authentic Mexican Chicken in Tujunga

The chicken is amazing, juicy and full of flavor. The tortillas are amazing as well, like the curtido salad. We love this place. The service is very good too.

The menu consists of 7 meal items, a half or whole grilled chicken and 3 different pupusas. They also make their own tortillas. The meal I had was absolutely delicious and I look forward to eating there again and again.

We love this spot! Always get the full chicken with rice, beans, and extra tortillas. The hot sauce is next level delicious with the perfect flavor and heat level. You won’t find chicken this good anywhere else in town.

Probably the best chicken place I've been to (and I've been to quite a few)! It's so flavorful and the rice and beans are soooo good as well! I don't live in the area but I would make the long trip just to eat here again. Definitely worth checking out.

Coming from a Mexican culture our food brings family's together through its bold and spicy flavors. Food to us needs to be all about flavor and let's not forget that our food is not complete unless accompanied by a spicy salsa and tortillas! I've passed through this place numerous of times and never had the time to stop in. Well today I'm glad I was lazy to cook and remembered about El Pollo Pio Pio. Their chicken has nothing on El Pollo Loco nor Sevans Chicken. Its full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I purchased the family special that consists of 2 whole chickens, 4 sides (rice, beans & coleslaw), HANDMADE tortillas and a salsa! Ok so for all this it was less than you would pay at any other places. I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but this one was delish, their salsa was a little salty for my liking but definitely had all the flavors going. The rice and beans were also great in flavor. Overall I would rate this place a 9 out of 10. I think if they added avocado to their family special it would be all so much tasty and a 10 from me! But then again I love avocado with everything if you haven't already tried this place its a definite must. I will definitely be coming back!

This place is my home away from home. The ambiance of it all, the food that brings comfort to my soul and stomach. Been coming here for years and will continue till one of us doesn't exist anymore. The food is always prepared so fresh and with love. The customer service is phenomenal and always served with such genuine hospitality. I love the chicken burrito with the two sides but love to switch it up with the 2 tacos and a piece of chicken every now and then. The tortillas that are made with fresh masa by hand paired with the juicyness of the chicken or carne asada topped with the fresh cilantro and onion always satisfies. I love bringing the whole meal to my family when I can. I love this place so much and hope it remains open for many many years to come so others could experience the joy and flavor of this hidden gem in sun valley.

I'm sure I have talked about this place before and there's good reason. Talk about a mom and pop shop Well here it is. They cook their chicken a mesquite lump charcoal. And the burritos are freaking amazing. By far my best Mexican food place ever. The burritos are only like 8 bucks and that things are huge. You can taste the mesquite that the chickens cooked with. Talk about cooking with love, well go over here
